birds of a feather
For this collection I was inspired by birds, flight, feathers and removing the vain/bone from a feather and replacing it with a metal zip.
My garments consit of white and black feather’s with gold metal zips. The zips makes the feathers versatile by being able to be unzipped, zipped or re zipped to another zip.
The other materials used are knit and wool fabrics which invole web patterns that spiral away from a certain point as well as sleeves from wool knitted jerseys that I altered and re knitted into leg warmers.
colourcult
Colourcult was a group project for a New Zealand street company called Huffer. My group members involved Anisha Masters, Jacque Shaw and Jess Henley. We all worked together and shared the work evenly as a group
My indivual contribution was to make the patterns and garments for the mens shirt and womens leggings. I also screen printed all the fabrics and garments with Anisha Masters.
The 2012 summer range is an energetic collection that is spanking new, fresh and fun. This excitement is expressed through pattern, a unique colour palette and interesting print placements . The colourcult collection projects towards a literally ‘brighter’ future.

image Layout
Gaetan Caputo

This website is clean and fresh, altough the home page is too simple i think it needs a main image or some imagery. When i first visted his webpage i though it hadn't loaded properly.
I like the layout of his work in his portfolio in book from, and you flick through his images like a book. I think down the bottom it should have small thumbnails of the
i dont like the horizontal menu bar, for me personaly the need to be listed underneath or on the next line down. This makes it alot clear and readable
For example:
Portfolio
work personal diary
OR
Portfolio
work
personal
diary
I like his name/ brand, with it all conected together but defined by being first and last name by useing different shades of colour.

The home page is eye catching with the 6 main images that feature in the background as a slide show, i like this effect, for you get a sense of what style and level of work you are going to see in this website. In the far left bottom hand corner you have the option to make his site full screen, this is very effective because it takes away all the destraction and focuses on his website.
The image menu bar is a hidden down the bottom amoung the copyright. it needs to be visable and bigger. The scroller function is a little confusing for you can choose to "next" or "previous" through them all,(where there is a lot of images to see) or you can go to thumbnails in the image menu bar and pick what ones you would like to view.
I like the layout with text and menu on the left and images on the right, this stays the same the whole site. Which is good and consitant.

TV the label

I like the use of a main photo as the background on all the main pages other than the collection and press page. For this image to be a main backdrop it needs to be a simple image with a lot of white space so the information doesn't get lost amongest it, and as you can see it very effective.
The main menu bar is very clear and stays on every page, its easy to navigate around the webpage. I like how the main brand name is bigger and bolder than the other main titles and is also the link to link back to the main homepage.
The other feature i really like is in the collection page and how you can scroll through each image page by page, with a small blured down the bottom left. One thing i dont like is that you can't see the whole collection all in one if you wanted to, you have to scroll through the whole collection. with the press page the images come out at you once clicked on, this is effective and you can see all the images at once. I think they should have keep to one style of showing images, and keeping to it throughout the website.
the text is clean and simple, like a arial style. It wont out date and its easy to read.
