Stuart Mclachlan

http://www.stuart-mclachlan.com/

His blog is my favorite so far by FAR!

The home page included his name, scope and a main image that represents him as a designer. This gives you a good idea of who his is before you enter his site. Once I had entered I couldn’t click back to the home page, which I didn’t like.

His layout is very simple, clean and easy to use. His name and main menu bar is vertically listed to the left of the page. This is his main template and layout throughout his whole website and makes it very easy to get from page to page. The colour scheme consists of black and pink/purple text with a white background this makes it look very sophisticated. All his headings are in colour this helps them stand out and make very clear and obvious. All the text is in capital letters this makes it easy to read even if the text is small. He has all the information needed to get a feel for what type of designer he is, with his BIO and contact details.

I really like the way the images are laid out with the vertical scroll bar in each category. This makes it easy to view and you get a sense of his amazing work. The images are just the right size so you don't need to click on them to blow them up. There isn't any information about his images but I think that they speak for themselves. Also in his BIO he does explain and comment on his new technique of paper styling as well as touch on his career as an illustrator.
